PrestaShop

We run our own store on it.

Most agencies here will build you a PrestaShop store and learn on your budget. We keep a PrestaShop practice: modules, themes, migrations and the long support after, on PrestaShop 8 and 9. It’s done in-house and in rand, so you’re not paying a mark-up on a European agency.

Who calls us

Three situations we see most.

01 / Already on it

European parent, SA storefront

Your group standardised on PrestaShop abroad and you need local support for the .co.za storefront. We take this on.

02 / B2B catalogue

Multi-currency, multi-store

PrestaShop’s multi-store and B2B features are stronger than WooCommerce out of the box. We’ll say when it’s the right tool, and when it isn’t.

03 / Stuck on 1.7

Upgrade without losing the store

Custom modules audited, theme rebuilt on current patterns, SEO redirects preserved. We’ve done this, including on our own store.

What we run on

The versions, not the adjectives.

PrestaShop
8.x and 9.x. Our own store runs on PrestaShop 9.1.
PHP
PHP 8.3. We don’t deploy unsupported versions.
Stack
Symfony, Smarty, Doctrine, MariaDB.
Hosting
AWS in af-south-1, with Cloudflare in front.
Payments
PayFast, Yoco, Peach and Paystack integrations.
Couriers
The Courier Guy, Pargo, BobGo, Aramex.
Compliance
POPIA-aligned. Card data stays with the gateway, we never touch it.
Response
A real person on a real number when a store goes down.

What it costs

Priced like the rest of our work.

Store builds R 25 000 from
Custom modules R 700 to R 1 000 an hour
Maintenance R 2 000 a month

There’s no PrestaShop premium. Every job is quoted in writing once we understand the brief, and that number doesn’t move afterwards. Full pricing.

The honest bit

PrestaShop isn’t always the answer.

We build on WooCommerce and Shopify too. Here’s where each one wins, so you can rule PrestaShop out on your own before you call us.

Pick it when

PrestaShop

A large or structured catalogue, real B2B needs, or a multi-store setup where one admin runs several storefronts. It’s strong out of the box for multi-currency and customer-group pricing, and our own store runs on it.

Pick it when

WooCommerce

The site is content-led, or already lives in WordPress and you want the store in the same place. A large plugin library and a team who already know the admin.

Pick it when

Shopify

You want the simplest possible operation and you’re happy to trade control and margin for it. Hosted offshore, with the checkout locked down unless you’re on Plus.

Next step

Not sure PrestaShop is the right fit?

We build on WooCommerce and Shopify too, so the answer isn’t always PrestaShop. Twenty minutes on your catalogue and we’ll tell you which one we’d use.
